PIZZA any which way you want it!

I LOVE pizza and frankly my girls love it too...so why not make it at home with better ingredients. I buy my pizza dough fresh from Whole Foods...its AWESOME! Sorry to all of my okie friends that don't have whole foods yet...but hey its coming soon! Yay!

So tonight I made a pepperoni pizza with fresh mushrooms, red onion, red bell pepper, and fresh basil. It was so very good! Let's just say I didn't hear a peep at dinner tonight and I have two VERY loud 13 month olds! So make some pizza for your family...it's easy and fun!

1 ball of pizza dough or store bought crust
1 jar of pizza sauce or just spread some tomato paste (Don't overdo the sauce - it can make your crust soggy
shredded mozzarella cheese
pepperoni
veggies- use whatever you like (if your kid "doesn't like veggies" too bad add them anyway just hide them under the cheese - they will thank you later)

Bake at 450 degrees for approx 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted and lightly browning. Top pizza with fresh basil after it comes out of the oven. (Don't forget the basil...it is really, really worth it) Tip: I use a pizza stone for baking pizzas. They work great for baking cookies as well!

So here I go...

Many of my friends and family have asked me to start a cooking blog...so here it is! I hope that in some way I inspire you to get in the kitchen more with your kids, husband, boyfriend, mom, dog, cat, hamster,(; etc., and make some good food and lasting memories! I love nothing more than to see people cooking their own food and passing those skills on to their children for the future. Cooking doesn't have to be hard, time consuming, etc...but it MUST be good! I am here to help you succeed in winning your families over with good, healthy recipes! So here I go...
